Serevale
A country house in a quiet valley: a doorway mark with the sun rising through it, fine serif type, and photos that feel like being there.
Start a project like thisThe arrival: dawn over the valley, with the house small in the morning light. The mark: an open doorway, and through it a hill with the sun coming up. Bodoni Moda for the name and headlines, Inter for the details; olive, parchment, morning blue and earth. The editorial layout: a guest room with the shutters open, and the key left on a ledge. The menu, the welcome card and the key card for the Olive Room. Two campaign layouts: lunch under the vines, and the pool in the olive grove. The website on desktop and phone: the courtyard at dusk, and a room to come back to.
The brief
Serevale is a made-up country house for people who want to get away from their usual pace for a while. The identity had to feel personal and rooted in the place, and still be clear enough to work on everything from a room key to a poster.
The name is “serene” and “vale” run together. The promise: room to slow down.
The approach
The mark is an arched doorway, and through it a hill with the sun coming up: the first thing you see when you open the shutters. It’s one solid shape, so it still reads when it’s stamped small on a key card.
Olive and parchment do most of the work, with morning blue to open things up and a little earth for warmth. Bodoni Moda gives the name its fine, high-contrast lettering, and Inter keeps menus and directions easy to read.
The photos follow one day at the house: dawn over the valley, a room with the shutters open, lunch under the vines, the pool in the olive grove, and the courtyard after dark. Each board uses its own picture, so the set feels like a stay rather than one view repeated.
